In the 1950's the Chinese government lumped a number of people groups in SW Yunnan Province together and called them "Hani" people. Yet this group is diverse -- over 20 groups and perhaps more than 17 languages & dialects -- and complex. Aside from two smaller groups, the Hani groups remain untouched by the gospel -- no churches, no Christians, no evangelists, no Scriptures, no chance to hear the gospel in their own languages.
