Help Us

But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
Romans 10:8-10, 13-15 (NIV)

VOLUNTEER PRAYERWALK TEAM
RIOBAMBA - JULY 1999
Charles Shelton, a veteran of volunteer work in Ecuador, brought a team to Riobamba for the purpose of prayerwalking the areas of the city where we have new church starts. Also in areas of the city where we are considering using a mobile medical team in October, and to pray over the city from high vantage points. The team was in Riobamba for a week and we saw God answer prayer and give us direction in what He is doing.
Team Members were:
- Charles Shelton, Lyman, SC
- Mark McCall, South Carolina
- Carol Reeves, Mississippi College
- Mary Jean Smith, Atlanta, Georgia
- Vanessa Roulette, Gardner-Webb University
- Mark & Sherry Cody, San Juan, Puerto Rico

This is the prayerwalk group as we finished prayerwalking the area of San Antonio, just on the outskirts of Riobamba. We asked God to confirm to us as we prayed and walked the area for bringing a medical team to minister to the needs of the people here in October. Each of us sensed from the Holy Spirit a openness and an affirmation to minister in this area.

Carol Reeves, a Post-graduate student at Mississippi College, and Manuel Charco, member of FBC Riobamba, prayer for a family dwelling on the outskirts of Riobamba. We asked God for a confirmation of this area for a medical team coming to Riobamba in October and sensed unanimously by the Holy Spirit not to come to this area at this time.

Mark McCall, from South Carolina, and Riobamba evangelist Lorenzo Rodriguez, pray on top of a Cachas Indian Center building high above the city of Riobamba. Here we prayed and interceded all morning for the city of Riobamba.
|

Charles Shelton, leader of the volunteer group, and Sherry Cody of Puerto Rico, pray over the city of Riobamba. God worked mightily and spoke deeply to our hearts.
|

Missionary Bob Mulkey, and Mark McCall, Mary Jean Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, Vanessa Roulette, a student at Gardner-Webb Univ. & Carol Reeves pray in a neighborhood where several members of the Road to Banos Housechurch reside.
|

Mark Cody prayerwalking the streets of Riobamba pronouncing Good News and proclaiming the Kingdom of God.
|

Missionary, Sharlotte Wester along with Mark & Sherry Cody from Puerto Rico, pause to pray scripture over the apartment of Edison and Tanya, a young couple baptized last week. Each Thursday evening we have a group discipleship study in their home.
