Help Us

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has annointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery
of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
Luke 4:18-19
"The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Romans 10:8-10

I was born August 25, 1956 to James Pat and Nell Wester in Abilene, Texas, attended public schools in Ft. Davis, Tx., Eldorado, Tx., and then graduated from Rotan, Tx. in 1974. On May 29, 1976 I married Sharlotte Thomson of Rotan and later in 1978 I graduated from Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas where Sharlotte and I made our home. There I worked at WTU, West Texas Utilities Co., engineering Dept., and participated in ministry at Hillcrest Baptist Church. As God called me to missions, I then attended and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas with a Master in Divinity degree and then pastored at Red Springs Baptist Church just west of Seymour, Texas.
It continues to be a great privilege to share God's message of hope, life and salvation through Jesus Christ in the country of Ecuador. While serving 9.5 years in Machala we were used by God to start 7 churches, 6 having their own property and building. I presently serve as Team Leader of the Ecuador Mestizo Cities team with the divine mandate to share the Good News of Christ, make disciples and then help them organize into churches which will do the same.
