New Fulani

Fulani women are distinct due to their dress and exquisite posture. A woman will usually have a gourd and a baby with her. They tie babies on their backs. Nearly all women of childbearing age will be pregnant or nursing a baby. Women carry personal items as well as milk in the gourds on their heads. A piece of cloth wrapped like a towel with a blouse and head tie completes their wardrobes. Young girls generally dress like smaller versions of their mothers.
