There are many ways to pray for missionaries. The main thing is to PRAY, but it is also important to pray SPECIFICALLY. Here are some ideas to help you develop your praying for missionaries:

http://www.imb.org and look under "How You Can Be Involved" and then under "CompassionNetÒ .">> Adopt a missionary or people group - Focus on specific people for an extended time. Ask missionaries for praises, and answers to prayers as well as requests. Ask for photos and news. Look for related stories in the media.
>> Enlist people at your church to pray with you. - Bring prayer requests to church with you. Share them in worship and prayer services. Post pictures of missionaries at church. Place missionary anecdotes and advertise the IMB web site and Prayerline in your church newsletter.

Sample Weekly Prayer Guide for Missions Prayer
Monday
- Pray that missionaries will lead holy lives and be spiritually and physically healthy this week. Pray for mothers beginning a week of home schooling or separation from children.Tuesday - Pray that missionaries will have favor with man (congregations, prospects, enemies) and wisdom, focus, and vision in their daily activities.
Wednesday - Pray that the unsaved will experience conviction of sin and see a need for a savior. Pray that the target people will profess faith in Christ.
Thursday - Pray for the protection of missionaries from illness, accidents, and temptation. Pray that missionaries will not fear and will focus on their work.
Friday - Pray for the spiritual growth of believers in the target group. Pray that they will clearly understand the Gospel and be transformed by the Holy Spirit. Pray that believers will boldly witness to the New Birth in Jesus.
Saturday - Pray for the families of missionaries. Some may be discouraged or experiencing isolation. Pray for mothers who are catching up from a week of home school.
Sunday - Pray for missionaries as they lead nationals and their families in worship. Pray for clear communication and understanding of the Gospel.
