Hello, we are Robert and Annette Crockett.  We are both from Cross County, Arkansas and graduates of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas (65/66).  Later Robert received his M.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (72).

We were appointed to Argentina by the International Mission Board in 1972.  We arrived in Argentina to begin working in 1973 following a year in language school in Costa Rica.   We just returned from stateside assignment in mid-January; and are entering into our last term of service on the field.  We are faced with a huge challenge to accomplish many of our goals during this time we have left.  Our final stateside assignment will begin in November, 2001.

We have three children, all of whom are grown and married.   They grew up here in Argentina but now all live in the United States.  So we are in the empty nest mode.

We serve as missionaries in the greater metropolitan area know as North Buenos Aires.  We just completed our twenty-seventh year in the country.  We have been starting churches and doing discipleship training during our ministry here.

Buenos Aires is a melting pot of nationalities and is so diverse and interesting. It is a wonderful place to serve, live and also a huge challenge to evangelize. Recently the city was divided into three geographical areas and team leaders were named by the Mission Strategy Coordinator for each region. Those teams are now in the process of strategy planning as to how best overcome many of the barriers to reach all Argentine people for Christ.
