Gordon, Amy and Jamie Moore visit the prison unit with us. Gordon sings an outstanding
solo. Men and women pray to accept Christ and many plan to be baptized Easter Sunday.

Our most recent blessing is that on May 7 when we arrived at the prison we
were given a bundle of papers which were official requests made by inmates
to be allowed to come to our class. Among these requests were six from the
new, women's unit at the prison. (Women were only admitted a few weeks
ago) We were asked if we could start a new class for them. So with
gratitude to the Lord for opening up another door of opportunity to serve
Him, we had our first class with the women. They sang with all their
hearts and thanked us so much for coming to teach them about Jesus. What a
blessing for us! At both services there were several who prayed to ask
Jesus into their hearts, one of whom was a Muslim. We thank the Lord so
much for his grace to us all.

On Easter Sunday we celebrated the Resurrection with seven men following
the Lord in believers' baptism. It had been raining all week but on Sunday the skies
cleared in perfect timing for the outdoor service. David gave a message on how
baptism is the symbol of our identification with Christ's death and resurrection.
The men were full of joy as they gave public testimony to their faith in Jesus Christ
before the assembled inmates and guards.
On Easter Sunday we baptized seven men at our local prison. It was a
wonderful day in every way. It had rained for two weeks beforehand and had
been very cold. Since the baptisms are always out of doors, good weather
is essential. The Lord blessed us with a warm, sunny day and not a drop of
rain. Many guards stayed to watch the baptisms and hear David's message.
Last week we presented each of the men with a Bible and baptismal
certificate.

We praise the Lord that tonight four men at the prison prayed to ask Jesus
to forgive them and be their Saviour! It was really exciting to see these
men listen intently to Jesus' words "I am the Good Shepherd" and "I am the
door" and respond so eagerly to David's invitation. Please pray this week
for Manuel, Joaquín, Juan José and Jesús in their new-found faith. Pray
that the Lord would be very real to them as they read the Scriptures we
gave them.
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers,
Joy & David
